Archiving Policy

The Horizon Multidisciplinary Scientific Journal (HMSJ) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and visibility of all published scholarly content. As an Open Access journal, HMSJ supports the dissemination of research through trusted digital repositories and preservation services.

All articles published in HMSJ may be deposited by authors in institutional repositories, subject repositories, university repositories, personal websites, and other non-commercial Open Access repositories immediately after publication.

The journal permits the archiving of the following manuscript versions:

  • Preprint (Submitted Version): Authors may archive the manuscript before peer review without restriction.
  • Accepted Manuscript (Author Accepted Manuscript – AAM): Authors may archive the accepted version immediately after acceptance.
  • Version of Record (Publisher's PDF): Authors may deposit the final published PDF immediately after publication.

When depositing articles, authors should:

  • Include the complete bibliographic citation;
  • Provide the DOI (if available);
  • Include a link to the official journal website;
  • Indicate that the article was first published in Horizon Multidisciplinary Scientific Journal;
  • Preserve the integrity of the published version.

There is no embargo period for self-archiving.

To ensure permanent preservation and uninterrupted access, all published content is digitally archived through the following trusted preservation systems:

  • CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe)
  • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe)
  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)

These internationally recognized preservation services guarantee the long-term availability of journal content even in the event of technical failure, website interruption, or publisher discontinuation.
