Author Guidelines

Manuscripts submitted to the Horizon Multidisciplinary Scientific Journal (HMSJ) must meet high standards of scientific quality, originality, and methodological integrity. Authors are kindly requested to review the following guidelines before submitting their work to our editorial office.

1. General Requirements

  • Originality: Submitted works must be original, not previously published elsewhere, and not under consideration by any other journal simultaneously.
  • Language: The journal accepts articles in Azerbaijani and English. Strict adherence to academic writing style and grammatical rules is required.
  • Plagiarism: All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using specialized software. The similarity index must remain below the threshold established by the journal (typically 15-20%).

2. Manuscript Structure

Articles should be organized in the following order:

  • Title: Concise, informative, and reflective of the core of the research.
  • Author Information: Full name, academic degree, institutional affiliation, ORCID ID, and the email address of the corresponding author.
  • Abstract: Between 150-250 words. It must cover the research objective, methodology, and key findings.
  • Keywords: 5-7 words or phrases.
  • Main Text:
  • Introduction: Research significance and problem statement.
  • Methodology: Research design and methods employed.
  • Results and Discussion: Analysis of findings and comparative discussion.
  • Conclusion: General summary of the research and practical recommendations.
  • References: Citations must strictly follow international APA standards.

3. Formatting Requirements

  • Style: Written in a professional academic and scientific tone.
  • Terminology: Accurate use of grammar and technical terminology.
  • Illustrations: All figures, tables, and graphs must be numbered and include captions/explanations.
  • File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc / .docx).
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt.
  • Line Spacing: 1.5.
  • Margins: 2 cm on all sides.
  • Reference Style: APA Journal Standard.
  • Page Limit: 8–12 pages.

4. Submission and Peer Review Process

Manuscripts should be submitted online through the journal's official website or sent to the specified editorial email address.

  • Preliminary Assessment: The editorial board checks the manuscript’s alignment with the journal's scope and technical requirements.
  • Peer Review: Manuscripts meeting the criteria are sent for double-blind (anonymous) review by at least two independent experts.
  • Author Data: All author information must be fully completed, clearly identifying the corresponding author.
  • Decision: A final decision regarding publication, revision, or rejection is made based on the reviewers' reports.

5. Ethical Guidelines

Authors must confirm adherence to ethical standards during the research process, declare no conflicts of interest, and disclose any funding sources if applicable.

6. Editorial Rights

The Editorial Board reserves the right to:

  • Accept or reject a manuscript.
  • Retract a manuscript if an ethical violation is discovered.
  • Request additional expert opinions when necessary.
