Author Guidelines
Manuscripts submitted to the Horizon Multidisciplinary Scientific Journal (HMSJ) must meet high standards of scientific quality, originality, and methodological integrity.
1. General Requirements
- Originality: Submitted works must be original, not previously published elsewhere, and not under consideration by any other journal simultaneously.
- Language: The journal accepts articles in Azerbaijani and English.
- Plagiarism: The similarity index must remain below 15–20%.
2. Manuscript Structure
- Title: Concise, informative, and reflective of the core of the research.
- Author Information: Full name, academic degree, institutional affiliation, ORCID ID, and email of the corresponding author.
- Abstract: Between 150–250 words covering objective, methodology, and key findings.
- Keywords: 5–7 words or phrases.
- Main Text: Introduction, Methodology, Results and Discussion, Conclusion.
- References: Citations must follow international APA standards.
3. Formatting Requirements
- File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc / .docx)
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
- Line Spacing: 1.5
- Margins: 2 cm on all sides
- Reference Style: APA Journal Standard
- Page Limit: 8–12 pages
4. Submission and Peer Review Process
- Preliminary Assessment: The editorial board checks the manuscript’s alignment with the journal’s scope and technical requirements.
- Peer Review: Manuscripts are sent for double-blind (anonymous) review by at least two independent experts.
- Decision: A final decision regarding publication, revision, or rejection is made based on the reviewers’ reports.
5. Ethical Guidelines
Authors must confirm adherence to ethical standards, declare no conflicts of interest, and disclose any funding sources if applicable.
6. Editorial Rights
- Accept or reject a manuscript.
- Retract a manuscript if an ethical violation is discovered.
- Request additional expert opinions when necessary.
Note to Authors: Manuscripts that do NOT comply with these guidelines may be returned to the author without entering the peer review process.
