Prospects For Tourism Development In Azerbaijan

Abstract

The development prospects of the tourism sector in Azerbaijan are the main research topic of this article. The country's rich nature, ancient historical monuments, national traditions and favorable geographical location create important opportunities for the development of tourism. In recent years, projects implemented by the state, the construction of modern hotels and tourist complexes, and the renovation of road and transport infrastructure have created conditions for the further development of this sector. At the same time, the organization of international events has had a positive impact on the recognition of Azerbaijan as a tourist country and the increase in the number of tourists visiting the country. The article also considers the existing difficulties in the tourism sector and ways to overcome them. In general, the tourism sector occupies an important place in the economy of Azerbaijan and has wider development opportunities in the future. Proper use of existing opportunities and continued state support will create conditions for the further development of the tourism sector in the future, bringing great income to the country's economy and turning Azerbaijan into one of the international tourism centers.
