Abstract

The article examines the functional-semantic features of intonation in the poetry of Nabi Khazri. The study shows that in the poet’s works intonation functions not only as a phonetic and rhythmic device but also as an important structural element that generates poetic meaning. In his poems, intonation serves as a means of expressing emotional states, philosophical ideas, and artistic images in a deeper and more effective way. The research reveals that intonation in Nabi Khazri’s poetry has a multi-level function: it forms semantic meaning, strengthens emotional impact, organizes poetic rhythm, and contributes to the deepening of imagery. In particular, themes such as nature, separation, and homeland are presented through various intonational models, which enhance the aesthetic and emotional impact of the text. At the same time, the study demonstrates that rhythm, pause, and syntactic structure are closely interconnected with intonation and together form the overall acoustic system of the poetic text. Consequently, intonation in Nabi Khazri’s poetry functions not only as an expressive means but also as a structural organizer of poetic thought.
