In modern learning environments, the combination of online, hybrid and traditional models requires students to set goals, manage time, monitor their learning and evaluate outcomes. This article examines the factors that influence the development of self-regulated learning through a theoretical and comparative analysis of selected scholarly sources. The analysis shows that planning, self-monitoring, reflection and goal-oriented feedback are the core components of this process. Project-based activity, authentic assessment, peer feedback, digital platforms and adaptive technologies can strengthen students’ sense of responsibility, but this requires the teacher to act as a mentor and facilitator. The article proposes a “regulatory learning ecosystem” model that integrates student initiative, scaffolded teacher support, purposeful technology and authentic assessment, offers practical recommendations and notes the limitations of the study.
